All around Rama sit members of the monkey and bear armies that helped to defeat Ravana and his demons, with the Monkey King Sugriva, his nephew Hanuman, and Vibhishan, the newly crowned king of Lanka in places of honor. They fly in the magical car Pushpaka over the green land and through the swirling clouds in the sky, lifted by white swans. Their adventures had taken them across the sea to the island kingdom of Lanka where Sita had been held prisoner by the evil demon-king Ravana. In this scene towards the end of the story, Rama, his wife Sita, and his brother Lakshmana make their way home in triumph after 14 years of exile. In Hindu art, Rama is often shown with blue skin to refer to his identity as an incarnation, or rebirth, of the god Vishnu in earthly form. This painting shows a scene from the Indian epic poem, the Ramayana, the story of the adventures of Rama, the eldest son of the king of the ancient city Ayodhya. READING THE ART Zoom in on the artwork image above and listen to a detailed description here. Opaque watercolor, ink, silver and gold paint on paper He gets Rama as a son and loses him because Karma and Dharma have to be at work to maintain the way the world works.Rama, Sita and Lakshmana Return to Ayodhya, ca. I picked this picture because it shows what leads to all of the decisions and mistakes that Dasaratha has made. The picture I chose is of Rama bidding bye to Dasaratha. Karma and Dharma show how they are active in everyone’s life and how they dictate what goes on in a person’s life. Also all through out Dasaratha's life there were clear distictions of Dharma and Karma.I chose his story because it really showed how Karma a nd Dharma work together and they affect the events in a person’s life. Dasartha decsions in life had a big role in the events of Rama's life. The reason I picked the story of Dasaratha is becasue people assume that Rama had to be sent away becasuse of Kaikeyi's boons but there is a lot more to the story. I didn’t change the stories much I just had the story narrated in the point of view of Dharma and Karma. It is told in the perspective of Karma and Dharma and they are explaining how Karma and Dharma of Dasaratha came into play when deciding Rama's fate. The story here is about how Dasaratha came to have a son like Rama. The idea here is to show Dharma and Karma in the story of Ramayana. (Image of Rama and Dasaratha) Websource: India Netzone

In fact, everything happened just as it should have because Karma was brought to justice and Dharma was preserved. Although it appears as though Rama was sent away due to Kaikeyi’s selfishness and stubbornness, that is not the case. Rama was sent to exile due to the boons he had given Kaikeyi. Now he too had to experience the pain of losing a child. He made those parents experience terrible pain that comes with losing a child. This is exactly what happened with Dhasaratha.
